It's Our Country Too

They march with banners, fists held high
But not for peace, not for the sky
They shout of borders, walls and blame
While neighbours hang their heads in shame

The streets once filled with welcome signs
Now echo fear between the lines
But this is Britain, land of grace
Not just one colour, not one face

So rise up, every creed, every name
From Glasgow streets to Dover rain
We are the voices they can't erase
We are the hope they can't replace
This island is ours, not theirs to divide
We stand together, side by side

My brother’s name is not like mine
But his heart beats to the same old time
My sister wears a different thread
But dreams the same as those who bled

They twist the truth to feed their cause
While justice waits behind closed doors
But we won’t bow, we won’t retreat
We’ll sing of love in every street

So rise up, every creed, every name
From Belfast docks to London fame
We are the voices they can't erase
We are the hope they can't replace
This island is ours, not theirs to divide
We stand together, side by side

No flag can fly on hate alone
No crown can rule a heart of stone
The soul of Britain’s not in fear
It’s in the hands of those who cheer
For unity, for truth, for grace
For every soul in every place

So rise up, every creed, every name
From Yorkshire moors to Brighton’s frame
We are the voices they can't erase
We are the hope they can't replace
This island is ours, not theirs to divide
We stand together, side by side
